Lighting is the finishing touch of space. Different lighting arrangements can create completely different styles of atmosphere. For hotel design, lighting arrangements can highlight their own style and brand value.
In order to achieve the atmosphere shown by different functional areas, it is necessary to combine light and shadow. Today, let's talk about the matching skills of hotel design lighting.
1. Hotel Lobby Space
The lobby has three main lighting areas, namely entrance lighting and lobby lighting, desk lighting and guest lounge lighting. Take the lobby as a continuous whole as the space, and analyze from the lighting mode, the actual entrance and lobby should be the general lighting or overall lighting of the lobby, and the lighting of the service desk and the lighting of the guest rest area should be local lighting. The lighting should keep the same color temperature. The lighting of the three areas makes the hotel lobby a non-thermal scale space through brightness contrast, forming an interesting alternation of light and shade, continuous ups and downs, and creating a thermal atmosphere as a whole.
(1) Hotel entrance and lobby
Lighting requirements: In the 1 meter high horizontal line, the design light should reach 500 degrees Celsius. Color temperature requirements: about 3000K.
The color temperature is too low, the space is narrow; the color temperature is too high, the space lacks intimacy, and the noise directly reduces the comfort of the guests.
Color requirements: Ra>85. A high degree of color rendering, can clearly show the reception staff and guests of the skin color and a variety of expressions, to the guests left a satisfactory impression.
Light distribution: if the height exceeds 6 meters, point light source shall be used in the ceiling, with narrow beam illuminator to provide continuous and uniform brightness. Because the luminous point is not within the human field of view, the lamp can be used open. Assuming that the distance between the canopy and the ground is 6 meters, the central light intensity of its light distribution curve should not be less than 500cd at 1 meter from the ground. If the height of the canopy is not more than 6 meters, ribbon or planar luminous canopy can be considered.
Contrast modeling with light and shadow: drawing on the experience of European and American hotel lighting design, we can consider designing projection lights with different angles at the entrance and front hall area. if the direction of guests entering the hotel gate is taken as the vertical axis, the side light design can be placed at both ends of the horizontal axis and aligned at the entrance at an angle at the entrance, which is helpful for the physical expression of hotel receptionists, bellmen and guests to form a stereoscopic impression. The lighting of this kind of hotel should be very advanced.
(2) Hotel Service Desk
Lighting requirements: Generally, the brightness of 750-1000Lux is higher, highlighting the importance of the main desk, so that the guest's line of sight can reach here quickly. In addition, it is also convenient for the front desk registration and settlement work to be processed quickly.
Color temperature requirements: about 3000K, in harmony with the hotel entrance, to further enhance the warm atmosphere.
Color requirements: Ra>85.
On the one hand, this is because the guest and the receptionist are in close contact at the service desk and require a healthy skin color; on the other hand, the various documents required must be clearly stated.
(3) Guest lounge area
Lighting requirements: generally need 300-500lux. Too much light, people's behavior will be unstable; too little light, people's behavior will become lazy.
Color temperature requirements: about 3000K.
Color rendering requirements: Ra>85.
2. Hotel Restaurant Space
The restaurant is an important lighting place for the hotel. Ordinary hotels usually have two kinds of Chinese and Western restaurants. These two kinds of restaurants have different functions and uses, so they should be treated differently in lighting design.
(1) Chinese restaurant: usually used for business banquets or other occasions, the overall atmosphere should be solemn and friendly, its general lighting illumination, compared with Western restaurants, much higher, illumination should be uniform, less mood swings caused by brightness contrast. Point light source, strip light source or all kinds of lanterns, etc., can meet the better lighting effect. In order to make the quality and color of the dishes appear vivid and beautiful, thus causing appetite. Countertop lighting is the focus of countertop lighting, it is best to use high-brightness light source to set up focus lighting on the countertop, if you can not provide focus lighting on each countertop, then the general lighting of the restaurant will be designed on the high side.
Lighting requirements: general lighting is 200Lux illumination, emphasis lighting is 300Lux, as a supplement to the side light can be used after the light beam of the light source reaches the lighting object, the center light intensity is about 150cd. Color temperature requirements: about 3000K, and requires light and color coordination. Color rendering requirements: Ra>90.
(2) Western-style restaurants: Western-style restaurants are usually used for informal business banquets, or restaurants that are more intimate with diners, so the overall atmosphere of their lights should be warm and emotional, and the illuminance value of their general lights is much lower than that of Chinese-style restaurants. In addition, due to the informal nature of the meal, it can not need people's face and expression lighting, but the focus on the table lighting still to make the dishes vivid and bright, but also to make diners easy to access, so its color is very important.
Lighting requirements: general lighting using 50-100Lux illumination, highlight lighting using 100-150Lux, if there is a side light, can use the light source beam to reach the lighting object, the center light intensity is about 50cd. Color temperature requirements: about 3000K, and requires light and color coordination. Color rendering requirements: Ra>90.
3. Hotel Room Space
Hotel rooms should be like home, quiet, comfortable and friendly is the typical tone.
(1) illumination requirements: general lighting to take 50-100Lux, the room illumination is lower, in order to reflect the quiet, rest and even lazy characteristics. However, local lighting, such as lighting in front of the vanity mirror, bedside reading lighting, etc., should provide sufficient illuminance, and these areas can take an illuminance value of 300Lux. The most neglected thing is the writing lighting of the desk. At present, there are few hotels providing writing desk lamps (usually replaced by decorative desk lamps) to guests. This is a very humanized lighting consideration.
(2) color temperature requirements: 3000K or so.
Use a light source below 3500K in the bedroom and a light source above 3500K in the bathroom. Warm colors are needed in the bedroom and high color temperature in the bathroom to show cleanliness and refreshing.
(3) color requirements: Ra>90. Better color rendering, can make guests increase confidence, feel comfortable and good.
