Hotel investors' misunderstanding of hotel design
Compared with hotel designers, hotel investors or hotel managers usually do not have enough knowledge of hotel decoration design, so that sometimes excessive intervention or indifference to hotel decoration design occurs. In fact, the reasonable hotel decoration design and planning in the early stage will have a direct impact on the popularity and operation of the hotel in the future. Therefore, whether it is designers or hotel managers and head investors, some knowledge about hotel decoration design must be understood.
(I) is out of touch with social needs. Some investors directly invest in new hotels based on their own perceptual knowledge of hotels, without first completing market research, hotel location, hotel positioning, hotel scale and grade determination, project feasibility analysis, etc. There is no decoration design unit involved in the initial stage of hotel construction.
(II) purely aesthetic considerations. Some hotels have a beautiful appearance in decoration design, but the feasibility of internal functional planning and decoration is in a mess. The decoration design is very unprofessional, the practicability is very poor, and it lacks artistry. After the hotel started to operate, it needed to carry out secondary renovation, resulting in secondary investment. Some hotel decoration designs did not even have the opportunity to make up for it, thus becoming a hindrance to hotel operation. A very important reason is that the decoration designers do not understand the needs of hotel management and the functions of various facilities. They do not start from the unique attributes of the hotel and the needs of consumption, but only carry out the decoration design from the perspective of architectural art. There are also some because the construction drawing decoration design is too rash, did not attach great importance to the hotel decoration design. (III) the concept of stealing to reduce the problems caused by investment. Due to the huge investment in hotel projects, the national policy restricts some regulations on construction from a macro perspective. Therefore, some national enterprises or government departments, institutions and other investors set up and build projects in the name of training centers, activity centers, reception centers, comprehensive services, etc., and then transform them into hotels after completion. This kind of hotel is often like a hotel rather than a hotel, many building structure, facilities and equipment, functional layout and so on can not meet the needs of the hotel professional management.

Hotel decoration design includes the hotel's overall planning and decoration design, architectural decoration design, interior and exterior landscape and garden decoration design, interior decoration design, mechanical and electrical and piping system decoration design, sign system (VIS) decoration design, traffic organization decoration design, management of guest service process decoration design, etc. In our country, the decoration design is often subcontracted by multiple decoration design units, and then the construction is carried out by multiple construction units. These decoration design and construction are not systematically managed. When they arrive at the construction command department, they are simply reviewed and implemented.
At present, some hotel investors and designers have certain deficiencies in their understanding of hotel decoration design and management, which leads to a series of problems, namely, disconnection from social needs, simple aesthetic considerations, stealing concepts to reduce investment problems, duplication of hotel decoration design works, lack of soul, lack of fine division of decoration design, and lack of overall arrangement.
